05/26/16 – Open Air Theatre, San Diego, CA.

I had seen Walk the Moon eight times before this show, so I understand what it is like to be a fan of theirs. I’ve gotten to venues at six in the morning, drove for hours to Arizona, and waited in the rain as well as one hundred degree weather. Walk the Moon is known for their live shows, which are best experienced when you are front and center. For my ninth show, I was glad I had the opportunity to capture and share their energy. Their set started with the band walking out to Lion King’s “Circle of Life” while fans joined along singing loudly and looking at the band with admiration. I rushed around the photo pit frantically, as there was so much I was wanted to capture. The band’s presence is so engaging and energizing that all your problems and worries go away the minute they start playing. I’m so glad I got to experience this from a different point of view and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for the future.
