22-year-old, Tayler Buono (TB) is bringing a fresh new sound to today’s music world. Influenced by icons such as Bono and Rihanna, she’s definitely an artist to watch out for.
Hi Tayler! Thanks for chatting with Local Wolves today. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
TB – I’m a 22 year old artist and passionate songwriter from Orlando, FL. I’ve been writing songs since I was fifteen years old.
You’re originally from Orlando and since relocated to Nashville to pursue music. How has this move helped jumpstart your career?
TB – I moved to Nashville about a year ago to pursue music and it has been amazing. Of course, moving to a new city had its ups and downs. It’s scary and lonely moving away from home but it’s so worth it. I’m constantly surrounded by creative people who are challenging and growing me. This past year I’ve written the most songs I ever have in my life and have been working really hard. I met my manager in Nashville and have found an amazing team.
Do you think that Nashville in an inspiring place to live for creators?
TB – Nashville is an amazing place for creators. Being around other creatives is inspiring and makes me want to grow more and go deeper in my art.
Growing up, was music always your end goal?
TB – I started singing in little recitals when I was eight years old. I didn’t have the confidence to sing in front of people until I started writing my owns songs when I was fifteen. I wrote my first song after I learned my first 4 chords on guitar. It kind of happened on accident. I remember it pouring out for the 1st time while I was playing guitar in my bedroom in the middle of the night. After that I became obsessed and knew that music is what I want to do with my life.
Who are some big musical influences on your own personal music?
TB – I’m really inspired by Bono, Coldplay, Ryan Tedder, Rihanna, And Jessie J.
You recently got to release a single on Spotify that has quickly gained a lot of attention. What was it like seeing the feedback and positivity surrounding your single?
TB – It’s unbelievable seeing the feedback on “Technically Single”. It’s so crazy to me that it already has over 14 million spins on Spotify! I’m really grateful.
What do you hope your music achieves to your listeners?
TB – I hope that my listeners hear my vulnerability and passion in my music and I hope they can relate and connect.
What are a few songs that you’re loving at the moment?
TB – I love “Closer” by The Chainsmokers and Halsey, so good! “Starving” by Hailee Steinfeild. “Guillotine” by Jon Bellion.
