HITC NY 2023 — Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NY — May 20-21, 2023

This past weekend, 88Rising held their first ever Head in the Clouds Festival in New York, partnering with Goldenvoice and The Bowery Presents. The festival was perfectly timed with AAPI Heritage month, celebrating Asian talent, food and culture all weekend. The likes of Warren Hue, Hosea, MILLI, and Beabadoobee opened the day with excitement despite the rain during most of the afternoon. Notable moments of the first day included artist and actor Awkwafina’s surprise appearance during Dumbfoundead’s set, and ITZY’s captivating stage that packed out the stadium in a matter of moments after the previous stage. The second day was nothing short of the first— XG performed in their first US festival, NIKI made a return to the HITC festival, and 88Rising labelmates joined for an epic finale.

The first NYC HITC festival was very much a homecoming for 88Rising, founded in New York in 2015. A trailblazer for Asian arts and culture, this year’s festival continued to elevate this vision, and will continue on this mission as the LA HITC festival is right around the corner, on August 5-6. This year’s event hosts their most expansive lineup to date, with headliners Jackson Wang, NIKI, DPR Live + Ian, Rich Brian, and more. More information and tickets can be found here!
