Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City, UT — May 15 – 19, 2025

Kilby Court has been a longtime cultural staple in the SLC indie/underground scene, featuring bands of all kinds that pass through — it acts as a chance to prove themselves, and to make their mark on this iconic fanbase. Kilby Block Party blossomed from this patch, officially starting in 2019 as a one-day festival focusing on the feel of a literal “block party,” leading to the 4-day extravaganza we see today.

This was the first year that the festival was held over the course of four days, from Thursday, May 15th to Sunday, May 18th with headliners— New Order, Beach House, Weezer (celebrating the band’s Blue Album), and Justice. This year’s lineup featured longtime legends in the music scene such as Devo, Built To Spill, Slowdive, and Gang of Four, while also featuring more current headlining artists such as Wallows, Beach House, Still Woozy, and many more. KBP added a number of up-and-coming indie acts to their stacked lineup, including Black Country, New Road, Geese, Wisp, Frost Children, Nation of Language, and several others. Overall, the festival was a delight for music fans of all kinds, as festival-goers braved the pending rain, and were rewarded with peaks of sunshine and nonstop great live music.
