Pier 80 in San Francisco, CA — September 20 – 21, 2025

Though typically known for it’s chilly weather, Goldenvoice’s fourth ever Portola Music Festival came in hot on the last weekend of summer in San Francisco. The event was held at Pier 80, with five major stages to keep festival goers dancing all day long from 1-11pm each day. With nostalgic throwback performances from Christina Aguilera, Underworld, and LCD Soundsystem to exciting dynamic sets from Peggy Gou, Rico Nasty, and Zack Fox— Portola’s lineup was absolutely unmatched.

PORTOLA ON FILM

DAY 1

Opening day, artists such as Magdelena Bay and Zack Fox brought the heat in the afternoon, keeping crowds grooving at high energy in the 70 degree sun. Christina Aguilera took the stage as dusk was approaching, delivering a captivating set with powerful vocals that absolutely swept the audience away. Salute was a stellar highlight, ending his TRUE VISION era at Portola’s very own Ship Tent. It was safe to say, night 1 was a success.

DAY 2

Night 2 was another one for the books, making you forget you even had the Sunday Scaries with exciting artists like Hamdi and Rico Nasty taking the stage during the day to Blood Orange bringing synth vibes to the Crane Stage for sunset. Dom Dolla never disappoints, closing out the Pier stage with a show-stopping performance and could not resist wrapping his set with a classic, Earth Wind and Fire’s” September,” on September 21st. Overall, Portola has done it again, their attention to detail from their social media to curation throughout the whole festival, it is truly like no other festival.
