Terminal 5 in New York, NY — April 25, 2025

The future of pop was in the hands of electro do pop, Magdalena Bay as they conquered the stage on their second night headlining Terminal 5 in the heart of Manhattan. Centering this tour around their most recent album Imaginal Disk, the band pulled their fans into a whirlwind portal of a multi-sensory show.

Opening the night with “She Looked Like Me!” the first song on the album, fans erupted with excitement as Mica, the main singer of the pop duo, welcomed her guests to the journey of True: the main character of the album who is hoping to find her truest self through the insertion of a disk into her mind.

The heavily conceptual themes of this album trickled into the dynamic performance of the duo with a stage filled with angel winged portals, television like windows, and giant hands propped up in the background. Costume changes where “True” has on a goblin mask, then becomes a sunflower, and even embodies a fiery character, encompasses the immersive, whirlwind emotions that the character, and their music, creates for the fans.

Sprinkling fan favorites such as “Killshot,” “Wandering Eyes,” and “Top Dog,” throughout the show brought the energy and nostalgic excitement for fans. It was a dazzling night of magic and whimsy– hence their tour name, ‘Magical Mystery Tour!’
