The Cambridge Room at House of Blues — September 25, 2024

Last week, I saw Sarah Kinsley perform at The Cambridge Room at House of Blues in Dallas.

I love her music—I have been a fan ever since I interviewed her for Local Wolves’ 65th issue, almost a year ago now. Finally seeing her in concert was magical.

After Alix Page’s wonderful opening set, Kinsley ran onto stage to loud cheers from the audience. The crowd was the most enthusiastic I’ve seen in a while—in such a small venue, the cheers were overwhelming, and constant. There were regular yells of affirmation from the audience and so many I love yous, making for a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Kinsley is a dynamic performer who clearly adores being on stage. She spent much of the night dancing wildly, tossing her hair around with a huge, happy grin on her face. I enjoyed every song she played—I was especially thrilled to experience my personal favorite, “Black Horse”—and am already looking forward to seeing her on her next tour.
