After seeing the group take over the 400 capacity Studio at Webster Hall a year prior, it was exciting to see how Finish Ticket behaved on a larger stage and a larger audience. With the release of their EP, When Night Becomes Day, Finish Ticket have been drafted to the bill of Twenty One Pilots’ Blurryface tour as the first openers. We caught the alt-rockers commanding the attention of eager fans on the second sold out night at New York City’s historic Hammerstein Ballroom. It is not always easy performing for an audience who may not know who you are, but the five piece group seemed to have all eyes on them as they kicked off the night. Hammerstein housing a considerably larger audience than the Studio at 2,200 people, Finish Ticket pulled off a set that was short, sweet, and captivating.
