Fonda Theatre in West Hollywood, CA — October 13, 2023

If you had an ear to the heartbeat of indie music in the golden era of new rising stars in 2016 and 2017, then you certainly have Nightly in your most-dear playlists. If you don’t, then let me introduce you.  Independently run, Nashville-based trio Nightly, has just released their sophomore album and are more determined than ever to share their music with fans and music lovers. Nightly is the perfect blend of ballads and heartbreak— feeling out every corner of how confusing and invigorating love can be. Guitars and synths and addictive hooks paint the band’s dreamscape of sounds. With early songs like “Twenty Something,” “XO” and “I wish you loved me,” all of their music feels like the perfect soundtrack to roll your windows down and let the emotions roll over you.

Their exciting return to LA was to a devoted crowd at the Fonda Theatre. They played songs from their newest album, “wear your heart out.” The crowd danced and sang along to every word. Lead singer, Johnathan Capeci had magnetic stage presence; confident and energetic and completely in sync with the crowd. If you haven’t heard of Nightly (“Night, Love You”), this is your sign to dive deep into their discography. Every EP, project and album will feel like a map into the tumultuous and beautiful turns of loving and getting older. Don’t miss your chance to see them on the second half of their ‘wear your heart out’ tour.
