Webster Hall in New York, NY — October 12, 2023

Vacations and Last Dinosaurs took to Webster Hall for an unforgettable night this past Thursday. But before either band made it to the stage, Eliza McLamb stole the focus with a mesmerizing thirty minute opening set. Immediately, the twenty-two-year-old singer/songwriter set the bar high with her unbridled authenticity and warm charm. Songs like “Mythologize Me” left the audience craving more– and in Last Dinosaurs fashion, they showed out for the New York crowd. Come 8pm, roars flooded the stairways of the famed venue, with the band’s new single “Afterlife” starting the set off with a bang. The floor transformed into a disco as the Australian-born, alt trailblazers set the crowd aflame with a mashup of the songs “Breathe,” “Da Funk,” “Move Your Feet,” “Lady (Hear Me Tonight)” and “Music Sounds Better With You.”

Vacations kept the party going with tracks both new and familiar. Songs like “Next Exit,” “Moving Out,” and “Avalanche” had arms rising high and voices uniting until the very last second. Before the night drew to a close, the Australian-born quadruplet brought us back down to earth for an intimate, phone flashlight studded performance of “Telephones.” On all accounts, Tourzilla’s NYC stop glimmered.
