Roadrunner in Boston, MA — July 17, 2025

Johnny Franck’s latest project, Bilmuri brought the heat to Roadrunner in Boston during their third stop on the ‘Unstoppable Bilmuri Summer Slammer’ tour. Franck noting this as their biggest headlining show to date. A night filled with everything Bilmuri fans have come to love and expect; an electric 17-song setlist, emo, metal, post hardcore, punk, country, comedy, and introspection. Franck and his four piece band, including a saxophone and jazz flute, brought a contagious energy, wild stage presence. Blasting off with three fan favorites, all from his latest album AMERICAN MOTOR SPORTS, a never ending sea of crowd surfing, circle and mosh pits, and belted-back lyrics filled the packed venue. At points slowing things down to discuss real life struggles, Franck thanked his fans and expressed his appreciation for their constant love and support. No Bilmuri show would be complete without a comedic edge, the band could be heard egging each other on and cracking jokes with the crowd all night long. There was not a single person seen sitting the entire night.

DRIVEWAYS

Opening for Bilmuri was Philly born alt rock artist John Harvie, followed by Driveways, a pop punk-post hardcore band from Sagus, MA. Harvie brought a lively stage presence and constant engagement with fans, getting the crowd moving and pumped up for the following set. Followed by John Harvie was Driveways, jumping right in with fast drums, pop punk riffs and playing numerous fan favorites. The crowd immediately screaming and singing along; building on the energy that Harvie had started. Pat Finnegan, the lead vocalist for Driveways humbly thanked fans, family, and friends who came out for the hometown show, touching on the overall feeling of joy in the venue. Finnegan could be heard saying “Bilmuri fans are some of the nicest, most accepting, and supportive fans,” and I could not agree more. A truly unforgettable night with and a must see show. Bilmuri is set to play six festivals this summer including Lollapalooza, Reading, Aftershock, and more, along with another nine stops on their current tour.
