Brooklyn Paramount in Brooklyn, NY — October 29, 2025

Touring for their newest album Girl Violence, King Princess put on a show for the queers, the lesbians, and the ‘freaks’ of NYC in their hometown of Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Paramount. With the crowd already hyped from moshing with opener SASAMI, it was no surprise that fans became wild the second she jumped onto stage. Framed by the set’s background of a graffiti wall with the album’s signature art in the center, the theme of messy, raunchy and unapologetically lesbian heartbreak and revenge was felt by King Princess and her audience. Having just left a long-term romantic relationship and her major record label of seven years, King Princess’ album was written with not only love and loss at its forefront but also with the newfound experimentation with sound, production and process as a now independent artist. With a discography that spans to their earlier EP, Make My Bed in 2018, she had a giant dice determine which throwback song to sing. Landing on “Ain’t Together” and also adding in “Girls,” it was fun, nostalgic, and full of lesbian yearning! It was incredibly special to see the Brooklyn Paramount packed for an openly non-binary lesbian artist– something we all find hopeful to see in today’s times.
