Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, CA — December 4, 2025

The newly formed band Snocaps stopped by the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles for two, out of their seven limited-run shows. Night one did not disappoint. And how could it? Twin sisters Allison and Katie Crutchfield, formerly of P.S. Eliot, among other projects: Swearin’ and Waxahatchee respectively, are backed by MJ Lenderman and Brad Cook. Talk about talent. They delivered an unforgettably fun performance, full of twang, shaker and of course, harmonica.

The Crutchfield sisters were most definitely having a blast on this reunion tour. You could see it on the looks they gave each other up on that stage. Those smiles infectiously spread to their bandmate MJ Lenderman– usual frontman of his own band, uncharacteristically on the drums, and eventually to the crowd. I was in awe the entire show and could not help but crack a smile until my cheeks hurt. The only time that smile went away was to sing the ever so catchy lyrics of tracks, “Cherry Hard Candy” and my personal favorite, “Angel Wings.” With only about 30 minutes of new material, the band reached back into their older catalogues of previous bands and other projects. Some of which had not been played live before. They graced us with “Incoherent Love Songs,” “Coast to Coast,” and “I Don’t Ever Wanna Leave California” much to the LA fans’ rejoice.

As a final treat, Snocaps (their name similar to that of the chocolate candy) gave us a real sweet encore. The encore’s songs are changing every night based off of the vibes of the city said the band. In the end, Allison and MJ swapped instruments for the last song “Like How You Are” by P.S. Eliot; Allison kept the rhythm and MJ shredded the guitar. It was the perfect way to end an already star-studded evening.
