Perspectives submission by photographer, Kristen Hinz: Mary is one of my dearest friends and has always been a great muse to bounce ideas off of. In her modeling career, it’s easy for her to be put into sets and outfits that are feminine. We were both excited to lean into some masculine energy for this shoot. As we shot in the cold, it started to rain on us ever so slightly. I was amazed to find that the rainy shots were some of my favorites I’ve ever taken. I loved using a prism to reflect the natural landscape and Mary’s expressions across each photograph, giving a hazy and dreamy effect.
