Tell us about yourself.

My name is Evelyn but they call me Eve. I’m 23 years old and I’m currently freelancing in both graphic design and illustration. I’ve always liked everything that has to do with thinking with my hands, and putting ‘hands to work,’ although I have to say that my strong area nowadays is digital, and I love the possibility of z-control. I really want to venture into the editorial area and murals.

Describe your workspace.

The fact of the pandemic has greatly affected the way I relate to work and therefore, the space where I work. Since 2020, I have worked much more with international clients who do not require me to be in their offices or face-to-face meetings, so my workspace is really anywhere with wifi. I tend to work in cafes because I like to have the ability to change scenery, depending on the day. My indispensable tool today, without hesitation, is the my lovely iPad.

What is your field advice for aspiring creatives?

Don’t wait for the perfect moment to do something, that moment will never come. Since college, you always consider yourself less prepared for the tasks, jobs or responsibilities that today’s market requires, I want to tell you that that does not mean anything, nor that you cannot learn and/or do it the same way. My best projects started because I encouraged myself and contacted the brands I would like to work with.

What are your thoughts on the creative industry?

I think the industry in general has changed a lot in the last few years, by leaps and bounds, because we have demanded it as prosumers, who want to consume something different from what has been done before. As a designer, it has changed a lot the way I work and above all how I see myself and everything I do, because I have to keep up with the demands and bases that we need (and we are having) today to create any type of content, we can no longer continue playing dumb towards important causes.

What is your current favorite song at the moment while you work?

I don’t have a favorite song at the moment but I love listening to the good old ones like Queen or Abba. and Rosalia’s album, El Mal Querer, I love it too.

What is your favorite local spot that our readers should check out in your local neighborhood?

I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the capital city where there are millions of beautiful coffee options for sightseeing, meeting and working. The best known here is always the neighborhood of Palermo, with so many options for every kind of paladar (palette) and context to work that you can imagine. But I do not want to forget to mention that the neighborhoods of Flores, Colegiales and Caballito also have to talk about when it comes to providing quality options.

What does the Local Wolves community mean to you?
I think it is always beautiful when we can have both print and digital platforms that allow us to explore and meet new horizons and artists. Thus, enhancing the way we each have to connect with music, art, photography and design.
