On August 20-21, 2022 the fourth annual Head in the Clouds Music & Arts Festival was held at Brookside at The Rose Bowl, produced by Goldenvoice. The first day showcased a variety of artists— mxmtoon, Audrey Nuna & Deb Never, Byline, Milli, Hojean, and Jay Park to name a few. Jay Park rolled up in classic fashion with two surprise guests, pH-1 and Sik-K. Keshi and Joji’s sets came after to close out the first night. Joji’s set marked the end of a era, as this was his last performance as part of 88Rising.

The second and final day of Head in the Clouds 2022 was nothing short of the first. The incredible lineup included Jackson Wang, Rich Brian, Warren Hue, the faces of 88Rising, as well as Chung Ha, Bibi, Dumbfoundead, and more. It was unreal to witness young talent performing in the same space as Dumbfounded, a legend and one of the trailblazers for Asian creatives. The night closed out with a breathtaking finale stage by all of the 88Rising artists. Undoubtedly, one of the most memorable moments of the night was when actress Michelle Yeoh appeared onstage during the final celebrations.

Overall, the festival was a beautiful weekend of empowering and showcasing Asian talent. Seeing people from all different cultures and walks of life coming together to celebrate Asian music was a beautiful sight to see and experience. The success of Head in the Clouds in recent years is just a glimpse of the incredible potential of Asian creatives that will arise in years to come.
