Warren Hue, the Indonesian rapper and 88Rising’s latest sensation, took to the stage at Sound Of Brazil in NYC in spectacular fashion on October 22, 2022. Having moved to Los Angeles from Jakarta just a few years ago, BOYOFTHEYEAR is Hue’s first North American tour, under label 88Rising.

Chasu, producer of most of Hue’s Boy of the Year album, opened the night with a mix of beats by Baby Keem, Rich Brian, Drake, and more. His DJ set was more than fitting for the night that was to follow, and spoke to the reason for the chemistry between him and Warren. 

Hue’s set was filled with hits like “In My Bag”, “omomo punk”, and of course, “Boy of the Year”. The sold-out crowd was fully engaged the entire night bouncing along to the hype songs and singing to the more moody ones. It was clear that although his tour is soon coming to an end, this tour is just the first of many more to come.
