Grent Perez — Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver, BC — November 16, 2022

Filipino-Australian artist, Grent Perez, sold out his first Vancouver show on his world tour, I’m Cool, I Promise. Vancouver, British Columbia’s intimate venue at Hollywood Theatre was filled to the brim to see Grent perform. The Vancouverite band, Later Days warmed up the crowd in preparation for the night. The city was thrilled to witness local performers local from their hometown, including Kurt Chen known as KurtTheViolinist. Kurt performed “Don’t Grow Up too Fast” alongside Grent, which immediately started waterworks among the crowd. As a fan project, Grent’s adoring fans created a scrapbook full of photographs and letters and gifted it to Grent. Then, at the show’s end, Grent held a surprise impromptu meet-and-greet at the merch table, which had fans rushing to the scene. Grent’s show was a rollercoaster of emotions. He had us all crying one second, then was moshing with us in the crowd the next. All in all, it was an ecstatic night, and fans exited the venue with grins from ear-to-ear.
