The song, “Smooth Sailin” opened up the night as Leon Bridges moonwalked onto the stage. Between his tireless dance moves and high energy band, the audience jumped to their feet. Seeing Leon Bridges perform live is like jumping into a time machine, from his style to his vocals one can’t help but feel like they have stepped into a different century. Bridges covered all the bases with “Lisa Sawyer,” “Brown Skinned Girl,” and “Better Man.” His band even added some fun twists to songs like “Mississippi Kisses” and “Pull Away.” When Bridges sang his big hit, “Coming Home” the audience erupted singing his best known lyrics to end the night.
