12/07/15 – LC Pavilion, Columbus, OH.

The iconic bright pink color that represents The 1975 quietly presented itself as the venue lights grew dark. George Daniel, Adam Hann and Ross MacDonald took the stage one by one. After a short pause, out came lead singer, Matty Healy. The crowd’s roar became deafening. Matty floated across the stage with his head hung low and approached the microphone; the lights flooded the venue. As “Love Me” began to gush from the speakers, Matty’s arms flew open as his greeting to the crowd. This set the stage for the rest of the evening: theatrical. The 1975 doesn’t merely play music, they put on a show. The setlist featured an array of classics from their self-titled debut and a handful of songs from their forthcoming album, I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It set to release in February 2016. On the new album, expect to hear nostalgic ballads that carefully reference lyrics from the band’s first album. The 1975’s US spring tour will begin April 18th, 2016 in Los Angeles and you don’t want to miss out, find out all the details here.
