Greta Van Fleet — Honda Center in Anaheim, CA — March 24, 2023

The new age rock and roll band, Greta Van Fleet, made it’s second to last tour stop on March 24th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. Determined to check off all the boxes to what a proper rock concert is GVF delivered raspy vocals, guitar solos, luscious hair and stunning outfits.

After opener, Rival Sons’ left the stage, the crowd was ready for the Michigan band to take the stage. The black curtains that had previously hid the stage, came down swiftly as the opening chords of “The Weight of Dreams” started to fill the arena, revealing the band. What happened after that, was nothing short of magical. The band, composed of Kiszka brothers— Josh, Jake, and Sam, and their longtime friend Danny, kept the crowd bobbing along, hands suspended in the air, as they delivered hit after hit. While smoke pooled around the members and fire sprung from concrete structures, the band alternated between their albums, even performing a brand new song for their adoring fans. At the end of the night, the crowd, who had dressed to impress in bell bottoms, glitter and things of the sort, left exhausted after very obviously having enjoyed every second of the “Dreams in Gold” tour.
