The Rose — House of Blues in Anaheim, CA — November 16, 2022

The Rose played their first Anaheim show on November 16th, filling the iconic House of Blues from wall to wall with their adoring fans. Foregoing an opener, they got right into it, making sure all those fans that had been waiting for them, some even camping out from the night before to secure a good spot, had to wait no longer. They delivered an enthralling setlist, starting off with their song “Definition of ugly is”, as a sea of light sticks glowed green. The crowd sang right along to every lyric, both in English and Korean, without missing a beat. Not only that but the fans came prepared with posters declaring their love to each member and some thanking the band for saving their life with their relatable lyrics. 

The South Korean band went on to cover all of the fan favorites, if not most of their discography, taking spectators on a journey through the various emotions attached to love, heartache, and healing. They even invited James Reid to perform their hit, “Yes” and surprised fans with their newest collaboration from Reid’s most recent album. The Rose ended the night with their song “Black Rose”, which they performed decked out in their own merch while heavily thanking fans for coming out and making their first show in Anaheim so special.
