HITC LA 2023 — Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA — August 5-6, 2023

This past weekend, 88Rising had their fifth annual Head In The Clouds Los Angeles Music & Arts Festival at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. Much like years past, the event was a huge success, celebrating Asian and Asian American music, food, and culture.

The two day event brought together a huge lineup of Asian artists from across the states as well as overseas. Warren Hue, Stephanie Poetri, Milli, DPR Live + Ian, Rich Brian, Jackson Wang and others kicked off the event in spectacular fashion. Day 2 was nothing short of the first, with XG’s west coast debut stage, along with captivating performances from ATARASHII GAKKO!, Zion.T., Grentperez, and others.

This year’s HITC LA finale was kicked off by Tiger JK and Yoonmirae, followed by the likes of Know Know, Masiwei, Rich Brian, Warren Hue, Phum Viphurit, MILLI, Zion.T, Keith Ape, Yoasobi, ATARASHII GAKKO!, along with guests Sokodomo and Okasian. The Electric Energy Dance Tent was not to be missed as well— the lineup for the DJ tent included TOKiMONSTA, Autograf, Mr. Carmack, and more.

As this year’s Head in the Clouds LA 2023 comes to a close, much is anticipated for the future of 88Rising as well as the continued globalization and celebration of Asian music.
