Matt Maltese engulfed the crowd in the dreamiest escape, dainty piano melodies and ballads filling the sold-out grandeur of The Wiltern. Maltese’s stage design amplified the whimsical, romanticizing nature of his music with glowing street lamps, vines, and benches creating a very cinematic London park-like essence. Maltese captured the audience’s hearts with a piano-centric performance, the crowd tearing up and singing along to iconic fan favorites like “Mother”, “Intolewd,” and “Everyone Adores You.” Whimsical banter, charming remarks, and nods to his band filled the space between songs, captivating the audience before throwing them back into the dreamscape of his voice. His Los Angeles show even featured a segment with his openers, The Army, The Navy, and special guest Dora Jar, sending the crowd into an uproar of excitement. Maltese’s performance was nothing short of phenomenal and he left the audience with full hearts, tears in their eyes, and immersed in pure joy.
