Two days before playing her two New York City shows, Halsey announced and sold out the presale for the last date of her Badlands Tour which will be held at Madison Square Garden in August of 2016. After a summer of festivals with smaller set times, Halsey brought her show for two nights to New York City’s Webster Hall where she played the majority of her album and selects from her EP. Halsey’s last show in New York City having been in the substantially smaller Studio at Webster Hall, it was a feat to sell out two nights of 1,500 attendees each night; and then to sell out the presale of the 18,000 seat MSG is almost unheard of. Towards the end of the night, Halsey thanked those who have contributed to her success and posed the question to those fans asking: “why me?” With fans who waited from 10am it is no wonder Halsey has seen such an enormous year of success. Based on her live performances, Halsey’s charisma and defiance to conform may be two of the biggest factors to the “why.”
