Fascinated by the concept of nostalgia, I’ve embarked on a creative project inspired by my favorite childhood movies and books. One director who holds a special place in my heart is Tim Burton. I vividly recall watching The Corpse Bride as a kid and instantly falling in love with his use of colors and the overall moodiness in the film – definitely not your typical kids’ movie. Introduced to his work, I went on a deep dive, mesmerized each time I watched his films. Fast forward to my project “Strange Characters,” where I drew inspiration from Edward Scissorhands, Wednesday, and his puppet animations.
