Beach Weather — The Novo in Los Angeles, CA — June 7, 2023

After a five year hiatus— Nick Santino, Reece Powers, and Sean Silverman, finally got the band back together and released a full album titled, Pineapple Sunrise. The infectious synth beats of the pop/alternative album needed to be played live in order to achieve full effect and finally those fan wishes came true. On the second night of their tour run supporting lovelytheband, Beach Weather took to the stage at The Novo in downtown Los Angeles. The American pop rock band appeared decked out in 70s inspired outfits that left the crowd, if not me at least, envious and thrilled. With the first strum of the guitar, the crowd erupted in cheers. Beach Weather filled the venue with their catchy riffs, delivering a nostalgic sound that felt like the perfect way to preface the summer to come. They delivered a high energy performance, invigorating the crowd, while taking them on a tour of various themes, from love songs to songs about feeling like a recluse. Each song felt relatable and enchanting and had every single person in the room swaying in response.

Beach Weather’s set was varied, fresh, and fun. Whether or not you knew of them beforehand, they had you in their grasp by the time their first song on their setlist was done. The breezy guitar riffs, vocals, and infectious beats came together to deliver a beautiful performance. The band is currently on the if we’re being honest tour with lovelytheband and playing music festivals throughout the summer so don’t hesitate to check them out in a city near you. In the meantime, go stream their new album Pineapple Sunrise, guaranteed to make you tap your foot and bob along!
