Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA — October 20, 2025

There’s something magical about a Monday night in Los Angeles when the Greek Theatre is glowing and thousands of voices rise in unison. For the first night of Djo’s sold-out “Another Bite” tour finale, that magic was undeniable. The 76th stop of a 77-show run, this night felt like the culmination of something bigger: a celebration of sound, connection, and the evolution of an artist who’s carved his own strange and beautiful corner in modern music.

Opening the evening was Post Animal, setting the tone with their textured psych-rock grooves and seamless chemistry, a fitting prelude to Djo’s own musical world. Mid-set, Djo surprised the early crowd by joining them onstage, performing a song they had written together, guitar in hand. When the lights dimmed and the first notes of “Awake” rang out, the crowd erupted. It was an immediate immersion into The Crux, Djo’s latest album, a record that pushes sonic boundaries, featuring “Ugly Fisherman,” one of the night’s early highlights, with an 80s inspired feel and psychedelic energy that seemed to ripple through the crowd like a neon wave.

Despite it being a Monday, no one sat down. The amphitheater pulsed with incredible lighting and production, each beat met with dancing and shouts of every lyric. When “End of Beginning” hit late in the set, the moment was transcendent: thousands of voices singing in unison, an entire crowd connected in pure, collective joy. To close the night, DJO returned for two encores that felt like a love letter to his fans as he played hits off of his first ever album. “Flash Mountain” and “Chateau (Feel Alright)” sent the crowd off in a euphoric blur of light and sound. These final moments felt both intimate and infinite, acting as the perfect close to a tour that has been nothing short of transformative.
