Fans gathered Tuesday evening to witness the return of Joji, who brought his highly anticipated SOLARIS Tour to a sold-out arena show at San Francisco’s Chase Center, following a multi-year hiatus from the music scene. The Japanese-Australian artist responsible for songs like “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK” and “Glimpse of Us” delivered an emotional and visually stunning performance that highlighted his career’s evolution and distinctly familiar sound. The set featured tracks from all across his discography, debut EP In Tongues all the way to his recent album, Piss In The Wind. Joji’s performance was an immersive experience from start to finish, combining strong vocals with a live band, a raising platform, atmospheric lighting, and cinematic visuals projected on massive LED screens. All these elements came together to elevate the emotional feel of each song. Video projections seemed to breathe in timing with the songs, and the transition of colors and patterns throughout the set felt like going through chapters of a storybook. The SOLARIS Tour will wrap its US show next week before continuing over to Europe, Australia, and Asia.
