TD Garden in Boston, MA — October 6, 2026

This may have been the Lost Tour, but Phoebe Bridgers found herself at the center of the Earth at TD Garden in Boston. Upon entering, every single smart device, watches and all, were sealed in a sleeve that remained locked until exiting the venue. Experiencing a show without the glow of a phone light was transformative. At 26, I’ve never attended a concert where screens didn’t pierce the darkness. A deep sense of anemoia formed as I watched a uniform crowd only disrupted by the occasional lighter raised high. Before the first song, 2017 smash hit “Motion Sickness,” a sphere blinked and bopped above the second stage, preparing the audience for a half-globe to open like a clam shell across the pit on center stage, revealing the band with Bridgers as the pearl. Her ethereal voice was supported by an expanded 9-piece band including a violin, banjo, fiddle, and cello. While the visuals on stage and themes of the album are largely other-worldly, the two spheres and the rotation of the circular second stage were reminiscent of Earthly elements. The concert closed with “I Know The End,” its final crescendo crashing through the crowd and summarizing an emotionally driven evening with a bit of rage sprinkled with hope.
