08/10/2017 – Hi-Hat // Highland Park, CA.

It was a night of fun and games to celebrate an evening with Billie Eilish for the release of her don’t smile at me EP at The Hi Hat in Highland Park. Fans were lined up outside dressed in either red or yellow eager to get inside for the sold out show. Upon entering the venue, fans were handed sharpies and asked to leave messages for Billie on a poster as a keepsake. Billie Eilish essentially took over The Hi Hat as the “BILLIARDS” sign was used to instead spell out “BILLIE EILISH”. Before the show started, there was a scavenger hunt with hidden clues for fans to find and follow around the venue. A photo booth with the iconic red ladder featured on the don’t smile at me EP was set up for fans that captured their chosen pose in a panoramic like motion. Exclusive merch was available for purchase which fans were quick to cop before the show started. Billie opened the intimate show with “bellyache” followed by “watch” and slowed it down with the song “hostage”. Billie attempted to divide the crowd based on the color they were dressed in and encouraged them to mimic each other as a reference to her song “COPYCAT”. Billie performed the crowd favorite “my boy” that had everyone singing along with her and new songs off the EP like “party favor” with her ukulele. She swayed along to “idontwannabeyouanymore” and at one point Billie stood on a small ladder on stage while she sang her song “bored”. Before the show ended, Billie took the time to thank her label, friends and family, and her fans for their endless support. She closed the night off with her 2015 single, “ocean eyes” which of course everyone in the crowd knew the words to. Billie Eilish will be headed on the road soon on her completely sold out tour this fall!
