The Factory in Dallas, TX — September 27, 2024

Clairo swiftly kicked off the first night of the highly anticipated Charm North American tour in Dallas at the Factory last Friday night. The start of the night was signified by a brief moment of celebration between Clairo and her bandmates. The group sat on the stage, sharing smiles and passing around elegant glasses of wine before a well-timed subtle “cheers” marked the beginning of Clairo’s Charm tour. The remainder of the night seemed to share a similar feel, with the songstress and her band ushering an atmosphere of romance, soulful stylings, and red wine fuzzy feelings. Clairo’s album, Charm marked a new era of her evolution as a musician, visually and sonically harkening back to the soul and softness of the 70’s. This was not only reflected through the album being played in a live setting but by the aesthetics of the stage being reminiscent to the conversation-pit style stage layout of a late night show live performance. Even her renditions of her earlier songs like “4EVER,” seemed to bring out a more baroque and complex sound to the track. The setlist was heavy on the songs from Charm, of course, with songs from the album bringing the night to a beginning and a graceful end with no encore. Night one of the Charm tour was wrapped up with “Juna,” a fan-favorite that left the audience dancing and beaming as the concert came to its end.
