Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City, UT — May 15-17, 2026

You might know it as “The Indie Music Super Bowl,” “Coachella for Alt Kids,” or “The Best Festival Out There” — whatever name you refer to it as, Kilby Block Party has been winning over music fans year after year with its incredible lineup. Last weekend, I traveled out to Salt Lake City for Local Wolves and was treated to a wide range of legacy acts, up-and-comers, and everything in between; headlined by Turnstile, The xx, and Lorde. There’s a lot that’s been said about concert crowds, rising ticket costs, and the overall ethos of live music being diluted by corporate activations. Wherever you may fall in those discussions, Kilby Block Party is a testament to music community over everything. As it has grown from its Kilby Court roots into a heavy-hitting 3-day music festival, Kilby still retains its heart. Fans truly feel in it for the music, and artists can feel it, too. Turnstile made us mosh, Hayley made us proud, The xx made us feel, and Lorde made us dance.
